Dragonwood internal cladding

Dragonwood internal cladding is a cladding range for lining walls and ceilings indoors. Please check each product page for the species, profile and finish, as these differ between products. Internal timber lining adds warmth and texture, and can be used for a single feature wall or to line a whole room.

Where it is used

  • Living rooms, bedrooms and hallways.
  • Garden offices, studios and annexes.
  • Restaurants, bars, shops and reception areas.
  • Ceilings and bulkheads.

How much to order

Measure the wall or ceiling area in square metres, deduct openings, then divide by the cover width of a board and multiply by its length. Add 10% for waste, and more for diagonal or patterned layouts.

Fixing

Fix boards to battens fitted at about 400 mm centres, using secret nailing, pins or concealed secret fixing clips, depending on the profile. Let the boards acclimatise in the room for a few days before fitting. Leave a small expansion gap at edges, and cover it with skirting boards and architraves from our skirting boards and architraves range.

Fire and finishing

Some spaces have fire performance requirements, so read our fire retardant cladding guide if this applies. Boards can often be oiled, lacquered or painted; see finishes and treatments and test on an offcut first.
